Radnor Rooms Wedding Photographer
I was recommended to be George and Gem’s Radnor Rooms wedding photographer through my past clients Emma and Joe. It was so nice to see them again and Emma has her own floristry business now and did the flowers for George and Gem. I was so happy and excited when I knew where George and Gem’s were getting married, the Radnor Rooms in Bristol. I had just booked this Bristol party venue for my 30th birthday next year. I love, love, love this unique venue! It is full of character, and it is the perfect fit for a relaxed, easy going and down to earth bride and groom.
The Radnor Rooms is set on St Nicolas Street right in the centre of Bristol, just a short walk from Bristol’s registry office. This wedding venue started out as a pub in the 1920s and was taken over by the Wolf family who turned it into a much-loved space for creatives, friends and family. The Radnor Rooms allows you to either get married inside under the chandeliers and fairy lights or outdoor on the rooftop terrace. Indoors makes for the perfect reception with dark velvet comfy chairs, bare brick walls, funky wallpaper and large windows allowing plenty of light to enter for the perfect photographs. The rooftop terrace is where you can have canapes and the drinks reception. This terrace has an outdoor chimney so guests will stay warm during the colder months.

The Wedding Day at The Radnor Rooms
George and Gem’s had a lot of friends and family who joined them for their celebrations, reaching the maximum capacity at the venue of 130 guests. I have never felt so much love and care for two people, the support in the room for this gorgeous married couple was so apparent. George and Gem opted for my full day Bluebell package so I could be there all day to capture every moment.
They tied the knot inside in front of the large windows and under the bright lights of the chandeliers. They were then led out to the rooftop terrace with confetti and greeted by the wonderful and friendly staff at The Radnor Rooms with a prosecco. Followed by speeches from Gem’s maid of honour Alice, and George’s best man and brother Tim. The vibe at The Radnor Rooms was so relaxed and stress-free, it was so nice to watch everyone mingle and catch up. George and Gem had two very large friendship groups all within the age of getting hitched and starting families which was so lovely to see. The reception at The Radnor Rooms carried on through the evening after some delicious BBQ food, followed by two more speeches from Gem’s Dad and the groom himself, George. The party started after the married couple cut the cake that Gem’s sister Jess at Goodie box cakes made. The evening entertainment was McConells Guitar McConnells Guitar who supplied the guests with some awesome indie acoustic music.
“Freya these are amazing! You’ve got such a talent, thank you for capturing the day so well!” - George and Gem
My approach to wedding photography
I don’t who take anything too seriously; I am pretty easy-going. George and Gem weren’t too keen on having too many posed shots so I made sure I used my zoom lens to snap some lovely canid shots so they could remember the day as exactly it happened. The images I produce are fun and will capture the perfect mix of emotional and vibrant. Being a Bristol wedding photographer
What I love most about being a Bristol wedding photographer is that you get to meet down to earth, creative and inspiring people.
Bristol offers the most amazing unique venues and has such an awesome relaxing vibe to it. The city of Bristol provided such a beautiful, quirky backdrop for anyone with a camera. With its colourful rows of houses, the River Avon passing through and a strong community of people who are passionate and caring about the environment and many other topics. You can walk down any street and find either a cool urban area full of graffiti or a tranquil spot of green filled with trees and nature.
My favourite things to do in Bristol are to walk down Gloucester road and wander around the independent shops. I also love chilling out by the Harbourside and getting some local beer and fish and chips from Whapping Wharf. Then you have Clifton where you can see the epic Clifton suspension bridge, perfect for snapshots!
