Sophie and Daisy’s Llantilio House Wedding
I was so excited to be Sophie and Daisy’s Llantilio House Wedding Photographer. Llantilio House is a new Monmouthshire wedding venue, a farm set in 200 acres of Monmouthshire countryside. This beautiful wedding venue offers use of their modern barns, stunning gardens, houses for accommodating guests and a natural pool and spa. Owners George and Lottie set out on a mission to create a sustainable, environmental wedding venue which feels informal, luxurious, and relaxed. I fully believe they have achieved this and Sophie and Daisy had picked the most amazing venue for their wedding celebrations.
The Wedding Day
I was blown away when I drove down the drive to this spectacular venue. My excited butterfly tummy feeling fizzed away as I saw the photo opportunities at this venue. The potential to capture dark background farm buildings with a clean, modern, chic feel to it.
Once I had taken my jaw off the floor from drooling over the photo opportunities, I went to find the brides. They were both staying in the house on site with their bridal parties and family. The vibe in Sophie’s room was excited, nervous, but chilled and relaxed. Poor Daisy on the other hand I think was a bit more anxious. She looked insane though, she looked like a bride on the cover of Vogue. She was wearing a short white dress with a huge puffed out skirt wrap over, accompanied by the most epic wedge heels and gloves with blue flowers on. Sophie also looked unreal! She went for a slightly more vintage look with a high necked, long dress with the most beautiful pattern running through, topped off with a long, luscious veil.
The ceremony took place in the barn where the end of the aisle was covered in gorgeous subtle flower arrangements and candles. The marriage was celebrated with a huge confetti line filled with family and friends, all with a glass of bubbly in hand. The brides lucked out with the weather; it was such a sunny day. Guests were mingling and hanging out in the gardens or with their feet dipped in the pool.
My second photographer and I went to have a sneak peek in the reception room to get some shots of the tables before everyone came in. The vibe was almost a bit Scandinavian, with dried flowers inside clay handmade pots, lovely naked wooden chairs, and tall candles. After some group photos with family and friends the brides and I went off to explore the grounds with their dog Luci. We experimented with some blue smoke bombs in front of the rolling hills of Monmouthshire. I also got some lovely photos of them on the stairs outside the cottages and my favourite shot, of the brides against the dark coloured farm buildings. After some emotional speeches and the wedding breakfast the part celebrations kicked off with a cocktail hour and then a DJ.
I feel so lucky to have been Sophie and Daisy’s Llantilio House Wedding Photographer because it is quite a new venue and it was just a total privilege to capture this wonderful couple’s big day!
